ANOTHER GREAT HARVEST!
This year nearly 100 guests joined together to support Clouds Hill at our 5th Annual Preservation
Fundraiser - Harvest Supper.
While torrential rains started the day, the sky cleared nicely for a wonderful evening of friends, food, and
fun. The theme this year was the orchard and
was highlighted by donations from local orchards, decorations and the evenings decorating competition – creating a small
fruit tree. The evening began with cocktails and
hors d'oeuvres, followed by a brief welcome, a short presentation on orchards, and a short, incredible performance by the
Guests then enjoyed a delicious
buffet meal prepared by Tom’s Market Catering and wine donated from Gasbarro's Wines in Providence. A small silent auction and live auction rounded out the evening. The
evening raised $13,600 for Clouds Hill and all proceeds are used to support the continued preservation of the museum.
Sponsorships for the evening's events
were generously given by the City of Warwick Department of Tourism, Culture & Development and Independence Bank of East
Greenwich, Crow’s Nest Restaurant, and Meadow Brook Golf Course. Appleland Orchard, LLC, Barden Family Orchard,
Dame Farm and Orchards, Narrow Lane Orchard, and Sunset Orchard all provided produce for the event.
Live auction items included two nights at The Charlotte Inn, Edgartown, MA, “Chef House Call” from Glenn
Place of Tom’s Market Catering, and a carved Costa’s Hummingbird by local carver Roy Tourgee. The following
businesses and supporters donated to the silent auction: B&H Framing and Greenwich Gallery, Dr. & Mrs. Vincent Brunelle,
Mrs. Kathleen Brown, Mrs. Marjorie Catanzaro, Dragon Wood Turnings, Johnny Granata’s, Hattoy’s Nursery, Meadow
Brook Golf Course, Kathleen Prindville, Rhode Island Philharmonic Orchestra & Music School, and The Purple Shell.
Clouds Hill is grateful for everyone’s
attendance and support. It means the world to us!
We hope you will join us next year -
